About me
My name is Carrie Sloan Meyer and I live in Omaha,
Nebraska with my husband Bob and our 4 legged kids: 2
Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs; Prince & Soni and our
orange tabby cat Nabisco aka "Bisco".
My husband and I have an Allstate Insurance agency,
where I work part time (so I can focus on tack the rest of
the time).  I am licensed in both Property & Casualty and
Life & Health.
I have been a lover of horses ever since I could
a young age but as I got older I traded the plastic ponies
for the real thing and began riding and showing I started
playing with Breyers and made ribbon halters at
American Paint horses when I was about 13 years old
and have competed at a state and national level ever I
started playing with Breyers and made ribbon halters at
since.  We currently own 3 registered American Paint
Horses: Huslers Mr Spice a 1994 Sorrel Overo Gelding,
Mr Conclusive Cool a 2000 Sorrel Overo Gelding, and
Hip To Be Zip a 2002 Bay Overo Gelding.
I went to William Woods University in Fulton, MO and
graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Equestrian Science and minor in Studio Art.
While at school, I was re-introduced to the model horse
hobby by a sorority sister of mine, Mary Vinyard
I had no idea that there even was such a hobby past kids
collecting.  I was amazed with the realism and intrigued
by the details- and thought I could do it too- so I
purchased my first Rio Rondo saddle kit and I was
hooked on tack making!  Pretty much all self taught &
using my real horse knowledge, I continued to make my
own saddles and quickly branched out to prop making
and started live showing.  At those first live shows, others
began to notice my work and asked me to make them
tack as well.  I started selling my saddle pads, tack and
props on the internet- MXC then to MH$P and other
model horse sites.  Now I have customers from not only
all over the United States, but also the world.
I have met the friendliest & most wonderful people in this
hobby and I really appreciate my customers and model
